Introduction
Whether in the PSV stadium, on the sidelines of the smallest football club on a Saturday morning, or alongside the pitch in the Kelder class: there are times when the sidelines are no longer a nice place to be. Support Safe Sport campaigns for a safe, enjoyable and respectful climate in sports. Verbal aggression, violence and unsporting behaviour both on and around the pitch are an increasing problem. It’s time to take action.
So we’re looking for de ‘Held naast ’t Veld’, the ‘sideline hero’ who radiates positivity. In short, rather than pointing the finger or focusing on negative behaviour, we aim to turn the spotlight on the sideline heroes.
Baseline measurement
We looked at how fine the sidelines are at Unitas ’59 Football Club. Watch the results here:
On or alongside the pitch; our image of a hero is not one of super powers or spectacular rescues. To us, a real hero makes a difference in the little things – things that everyone can do to make the sidelines a nice place to be (again). Would you like to create a positive ambiance on the sidelines and set an example for others?
If so, read about the characteristics of a real Held naast ’t Veld here.
Een Held naast ’t Veld:
Naturally, we don’t just explain to you what positive energy is, we also give you the chance to really score as a Held naast ’t Veld
On Saturday morning, 12 April, while the youth teams play their matches, the ambiance coaches will go off in search of supporters who create positive energy and a good atmosphere. Ambiance coaches are club volunteers. All those who display positive behaviour will be the ‘heroes of the day’. After all, that will make our children happy!
Anyone seen to be a hero will be given a special hero scarf to wear.
At the end of the morning, all heroes with scarves will be given the chance to really star in front of their children: by being allowed to take a penalty shot! And the club will award the winner a gift token.
This video explains all you need to know about that special day. The teams (up to JO10) will play their matches, while we go off in search of special moments and: the ‘heroes of the day’.
Join in!
Keep the sidelines fine and be a Held naast 't Veld!
With sporty greetings:
